Job Description:
- Manage and enhance the compliance framework as required by the regulators
- Be the regulatory liaison with regulatory authorities on behalf of the business units of the insurance brokerage
- Act as the gatekeeper for business units on regulatory compliances, rules and operational standards
- Manage the adoption and localization of internal group policies to the insurance brokerage entity under the applicable Philippines regulatory framework.
- Implementation of compliance programs for regulatory compliance, for example, Outsourcing and Data Privacy
- Administration and governance of the company compliance programs
- Work collaboratively with country and HQ corporate, regulatory and contract legal teams to implement and enhance the necessary compliance frameworks
- Communicate regulatory/ industry updates and implications to business teams
- Prepare and support the cyclical regulatory submissions and audits, where applicable
- Conduct regular reviews of the operational and system processes and suggest enhancements.
Requirements:
- At least 6 - 10 years work experience in compliance and legal functions in a local financial institution, preferably in the insurance industry (insurance company, insurance brokerage or insurtech company)
- Possess in depth and updated understanding of the regulatory framework and directions for the insurance distributions or another financial services domain
- Specific Knowledge: Philippines corporate, AML and insurance laws, rules and regulations, corporate governance initiatives and policy development
- Be comfortable to get hands dirty and contribute independently, as well as working in a dynamic project team
- Open-minded and possess strong interest in FinTech, Digital Insurance and related regulatory innovations.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, verbal and written communication skills, comfortable communicating with business heads, senior management, Board of Directors, and the regulators
- Dynamic problem solver, resilient and possess no fear to challenge status quo
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Must be willing to work in Podium, Mandaluyong
