Business Analyst III provides strategic business analysis by partnering with business units to understand processes and requirements, supporting projects that address operational challenges, and leveraging IT systems knowledge to deliver effective business solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Work with business leaders and representatives to understand problems that need technology or process solutions and document the requirements in a way that can be converted into identifiable deliverables within a project
- Map as is and to be processes to reflect current issues/problems and business requirements
- Produce project analysis documents including BRD, scope matrix, use cases, proposals, etc.
- Collaborate closely with developers to implement the requirements, provide necessary guidance to testers during QA process
- Manage smaller projects/initiatives through all phases of project delivery in lieu of a project manager
- Provide transparency via written and verbal communication to business leaders/stake holder, technology leaders and partners
- Work with the broader team of architects, developers, PMs, QA, etc. be aligned through all phases of the project and project a single face to the customer/business leader
- Adopt agile techniques of story writing and scope definition for application projects or where suitable
- Identify improvement opportunities (proactive and reactive)
- Create and maintain issue logs, meeting minutes, meeting schedules, project summaries and updates.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in business analysis and/or process reengineering preferred
- Must have experience working on large scale projects as well as handling day-to-day operational requests from the business
- Project management, ability to successfully manage multiple tasks at any given point, strong relationship building skills & communication skills
- Proficient in key project management methodologies with emphasis in agile methodology
- Good understanding of infrastructure issues and/or networking challenges, requirements, etc.
- Proficiency in excel, power point, visio, etc.
- Excellent written and verbal skills
- Data analytics skill and SQL knowledge – nice to have
