Role Overview
The Business Analyst bridges Finance and Procurement stakeholders and delivery teams, translating business needs into clear requirements that drive the design, delivery, and adoption of IT solutions, including Microsoft Dynamics, Power Platform, and AI-enabled capabilities.
This role maintains a relentless focus on supporting both IT and the business to continuously improve, delivering maximum value, driving efficiency, and ensuring solutions are right first time.

Requirements & Backlog Management
- Lead and drive requirements definition, scoping, and prioritisation activities for complex initiatives, ensuring alignment with business objectives and stakeholder needs.
- Establish, manage, and maintain the Finance and Procurement DevOps backlog, ensuring additions and changes are effectively assessed, controlled, and communicated.
- Select and apply appropriate business analysis methods, tools, and techniques, contributing to the development and continuous improvement of organisational standards.
Business Analysis & Modelling
- Conduct structured business situation analysis to identify problems, opportunities, and improvement areas, adopting a holistic and data-driven approach.
- Develop and maintain business models that represent complex processes and scenarios, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and alignment to business outcomes.
- Support stakeholders in interpreting models and insights to inform decision-making and drive business improvements.
Process Improvement
- Lead and support business process improvement initiatives, assessing feasibility and recommending optimal approaches to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Apply appropriate process improvement methodologies and tools at programme, project, and team levels.
Stakeholder Engagement & Communication
- Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships, acting as a trusted advisor and key point of contact between business and IT.
- Plan and execute stakeholder engagement activities, ensuring clear, consistent communication and alignment throughout delivery.
- Facilitate stakeholder workshops and discussions to gain agreement on requirements, priorities, and recommended solutions, managing conflicting viewpoints effectively.
Decision Support & Information Management
- Facilitate decision-making processes by providing clear, structured information and recommendations.
- Capture, document, and communicate business and technical information to ensure shared understanding across all stakeholders.
Skills & Experience
Essential
- Strong understanding of business analysis frameworks, methodologies, and best practices, with the ability to apply them effectively in complex delivery environments.
- Experience working within Finance and Procurement domains, with an appreciation of core processes, controls, and operational challenges.
- Proven ability to work within structured delivery environments (e.g. Agile, DevOps-based delivery models), with familiarity in managing work within backlogs and iterative delivery cycles.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capability, with the ability to interpret complex information and identify meaningful insights.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present information clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to build credibility and trust with stakeholders at all levels, including senior business and IT leadership.
- Experience working with enterprise systems and platforms, particularly Microsoft Dynamics 365, Power Platform, or similar ecosystems.
Desirable
- Experience supporting or contributing to the development of business analysis standards, frameworks, or governance models.
- Knowledge of process improvement methodologies (e.g. Lean, Six Sigma) and their practical application.
- Experience working in global or cross-functional environments, managing stakeholders across multiple regions or business units.
- Familiarity with data and reporting tools (e.g. Power BI) and an understanding of how data supports decision-making.
- Awareness of emerging technologies such as AI-enabled solutions and their application within business processes.
