Position Summary
The Business and Systems Analyst plays a pivotal role in supporting strategic and operational initiatives across all departments. This role bridges operational needs with technology solutions, driving process improvements, systems optimisation, and project delivery. The analyst collaborates with stakeholders from Finance, Operations, Sales, Customer Service, and IT to enhance decision-making through data-driven insights.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Analysis & Reporting
- Conduct deep-dive analysis on service fee structures, delivery costs, and profitability by client and location.
- Develop and maintain dashboards using Power BI and ERP/CRM data to support operational visibility and planning.
- Monitor project progress, risks, and outcomes, ensuring alignment with business goals.
Systems Integration & Optimisation
- Collaborate with IT and external vendors to integrate data sources into a unified data lake.
- Support implementation of automated reporting tools to replace manual spreadsheet analysis.
- Analyse existing workflows and systems to identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements.
Process Improvement
- Analyse warehouse operations and delivery route optimisation to identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Recommend system enhancements and process changes to improve efficiency and reduce operational waste.
- Develop business cases, process maps, and user stories to support change initiatives.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Partner with department leads to identify business needs and translate them into actionable project requirements.
- Facilitate workshops and interviews to gather and document functional and technical requirements.
- Liaise with operations managers, drivers, and warehouse staff to gather insights and validate data assumptions.
- Present findings and recommendations to senior management.
Training & Change Management
- Provide onboarding and ongoing training to staff on systems like Business Central, Concur, Power BI, etc.
- Create user guides and training materials tailored to different roles.
- Support system adoption and process changes through documentation and coaching.
Reporting & Analysis
- Use tools like Power BI to generate insights and reports.
- Support departments with data analysis and dashboard creation.

Required
Skills & Experience
- 3+ years experience in business analysis or systems support roles.
- Strong understanding of ERP and CRM platforms, especially Microsoft Business Central and Dynamics CRM.
- Experience with Power Platform tools (Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps).
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
Preferred
- CBAP or PMI-PBA certification.
- Experience in oil & gas, logistics, or industrial distribution.
- Familiarity with BPO environments and offshore collaboration tools.
- Experience in logistics, manufacturing, or compliance frameworks.
- Microsoft certifications (e.g., Dynamics 365, Power Platform).
