Job Description

The Budget Officer is responsible for the preparation, monitoring, and management of project budgets and financial transactions. The role ensures accurate billing, effective cash flow management, proper account reconciliation, and compliance with the financial policies of the company, investors, and partners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and issue accurate and timely monthly Statements of Accounts (SOAs) or billing statements to external clients, subsidiaries, and affiliates, ensuring complete supporting documents are attached.
  • Monitor accounts receivable, including collection activities, preparation and issuance of official receipts, and reconciliation of accounts and advances with subsidiaries. Prepare related monthly reports.
  • Maintain accurate, complete, and organized client files and financial records to properly support all transactions.
  • Monitor cash positions of project companies and facilitate bank transactions as needed.
  • Manage project budgets by monitoring expenditures, preparing forecasts, developing cash flow schedules, analyzing budget variances, and preparing performance reports.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to verify transaction details and with contractors for invoice validation and milestone confirmation.
  • Maintain strong professional relationships with clients, contractors, and banking partners.
  • Ensure financial reports comply with company policies, investor requirements, and partner agreements.
  • Support the structuring of transactions to optimize financial arrangements with investors and partners.
  • Perform other related tasks that may be assigned by the immediate superior from time to time.
