Job Summary
- Assists the Section Head in Implementing the provisions in the Budget
- Guidelines including data gathering from Groups and Centralized Budgeting
- Units, and analysis thereof to come up with the Annual Bankwide Capital and
- Operating Expenses Forecast / Budget.
How will you contribute
- Annual Budget Management: Assists in the planning, implementation, and consolidation of the annual budget for both Operating Expenses (OPEX) and Capital Expenditures (CAPEX). This includes reviewing submissions and preparing reports.
- Monitoring, Analysis, and Reporting: Regularly tracks actual spending against the budget. Key tasks include certifying CAPEX requests, preparing monthly summary reports, analyzing variances, and explaining discrepancies.
- System and Budget Adjustments: Manages budget modifications within the bank's financial systems (like Oracle and EPM). This involves analyzing and recommending budget re-allocations or realignments and then implementing the approved changes.
- Compliance and Audit: Ensures adherence to internal and regulatory policies. This includes maintaining awareness of Anti-Money Laundering (AML) rules, monitoring internal controls to ensure a Satisfactory audit rating, and staying updated on bank and central bank (BSP) regulations.

- Functional Knowledge: The candidate must have expert knowledge in their own area and a good understanding of other financial fields, including:
- Uses and Sources of funds, NRFF Analysis
- Balance Sheet and Income Statement analysis
- Transfer pricing and management accounting
- Bank Operations, Chart of Accounts, and the nature of various expenditures.
- Work Experience: Required experience includes basic accounting, knowledge of credit-related policies, database management, and general accounting standards and procedures.
