Job Summary

Bureau Veritas Philippines is seeking a results-driven Business Analyst with strong expertise in cost control, costing methodologies, and profitability analysis. This role will support strategic decision-making by providing actionable insights into financial performance, operational efficiency, and cost optimization across business units.

Key Responsibilities

  • Cost Control & Analysis
    • Monitor and analyze operational and project costs to ensure alignment with budgets and forecasts.
    • Identify cost-saving opportunities and recommend corrective actions to improve financial performance.
    • Develop and maintain cost models for various service lines (e.g., testing, inspection, certification).
  • Profitability & Financial Insights
    • Conduct profitability analysis by service, client, and region to support pricing strategies and business development.
    • Collaborate with business leaders to evaluate the financial impact of new initiatives or service offerings.
    • Prepare monthly and quarterly performance reports with variance analysis and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Budgeting & Forecasting
    • Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and rolling forecasts.
    • Support scenario planning and financial modeling to guide strategic planning.
  • Process Improvement
    • Partner with operations and finance teams to streamline reporting processes and improve data accuracy.
    • Implement tools and dashboards for real-time financial monitoring and decision support.
Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in business analysis, cost control, or financial planningpreferably in a service-oriented or multinational environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling, Excel, and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience in the TIC (Testing, Inspection, Certification) industry is a plus.
