Job Description

We are seeking a proactive and strategic Brand Director to lead the full scope of retail operations in our fashion business. This role focuses on optimizing store performance, ensuring inventory controls and visual merchandising excellence, and driving alignment between internal teams and brand principals. You will be responsible for reviewing store clustering, overseeing buy review processes, managing the Area Sales Managers and Visual Merchandising team, and working closely with brand principals to execute brand and business objectives with excellence. The role also ensures smooth and on-time new store openings, contributing to seamless expansion and operational readiness.

Key Responsibilities

1.      Retail Store Operations Leadership

·      Oversee the day-to-day operations of all retail stores to ensure smooth

execution, high performance, and operational consistency. • Drive in-store excellence by monitoring sales targets, customer experience, and operational compliance across locations.

• Guide Area Sales Managers to uphold performance expectations, motivate their teams, and implement company directives efficiently.

2.      Visual Merchandising Oversight

• Lead the Visual Merchandising (VM) team in planning and executing brandaligned in-store presentations and seasonal visual updates.

• Conduct regular VM reviews and audits to ensure visual standards are maintained across all stores.

• Align VM efforts with promotions, launches, and brand storytelling.

3.      Store Clustering & Buy Review

• Review and evaluate store clustering strategies to ensure buys are optimized for each store's profile, location, and customer demographic.

• Work closely with the buying team to validate assortments and make data informed decisions that support sell-through and minimize overstock.

• Provide operational insights to guide pre-season planning and mid-season corrections.

4.      Principal & Brand Partner Collaboration

• Serve as the main operational point of contact for brand principals.

• Coordinate closely on inventory flow, replenishment priorities, store readiness, and brand compliance across doors.

• Ensure store teams are briefed and equipped to meet the expectations of both the company and its brand partners.

5.      Team Management & Development

• Lead, develop, and evaluate the performance of Area Sales Managers and Visual Merchandisers.

• Set clear goals, review progress regularly, and foster a high-performance, customer-first culture.

• Ensure store teams are aligned with the company's operational goals, merchandising standards, and service levels.

6.      Operations Planning & Continuous Improvement

• Improve SOPs across retail operations, VM execution, and store administration to drive efficiency and effectiveness.

• Analyze store and team performance data, propose improvements, and implement process enhancements where needed.

• Support cross-functional collaboration across buying, marketing, and finance to ensure seamless operations.

Job Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Retail Management, Fashion Merchandising, or a related field.
  • Master's degree (MBA or equivalent) is an advantage.

Experience

  • Minimum of 8–10 years of progressive experience in retail operations, preferably within the fashion, apparel, footwear, or lifestyle industry.
  • At least 5 years in a senior leadership role managing multi-store retail operations.
  • Proven experience working with international brand principals or franchise partners.
  • Strong background in store operations, visual merchandising, inventory management, and retail performance management.
  • Experience overseeing new store openings and retail expansion projects.
