Job Summary
The Branch Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a logistics branch, ensuring efficient handling, storage, and distribution of goods. This role involves supervising staff, maintaining service quality, meeting delivery targets, and ensuring compliance with company policies and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate day-to-day branch operations, including receiving, sorting, dispatching, and delivery of shipments
- Monitor workflow to ensure timely and accurate processing of parcels or cargo
- Lead, train, and evaluate branch personnel to maintain productivity and performance standards
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety regulations
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and service issues in a professional manner
- Track and report branch performance metrics (e.g., delivery times, volume, accuracy)
- Coordinate with other branches, hubs, and transport teams to optimize operations
- Maintain inventory accuracy and oversee proper documentation of shipments
- Ensure the branch facility is secure, clean, and organized
- Assist in implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency and service quality
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred)
- Proven experience in logistics, warehousing, or distribution operations
- Previous supervisory or leadership experience is an advantage
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and logistics management systems
