The Branch Relationship Manager is responsible for managing and expanding a high-value portfolio of Preferred Banking clients. You will serve as a trusted financial advisor, helping clients safeguard and grow their wealth while driving profit, market share, and business growth aligned with the Bank's key strategic objectives.
Responsibilities:
Portfolio Growth & Client Engagement
- Provide tailored financial advice and wellness strategies based on client profiles, financial goals, and risk appetites.
- Deepen relationships with existing Preferred Banking clients and proactively acquire new-to-bank high-net-worth individuals and referrals.
- Connect and build meaningful relationships with the next generation of Preferred Banking clients.
- Conduct regular portfolio reviews, service calls, and face-to-face engagements (in-branch, virtual, or off-site client visits).
- Maximize internal systems and reporting tools to spot cross-selling opportunities, track client interactions, and keep contact records strictly updated.
Strategic Marketing & Business Development
- Stay informed on financial market trends, economic conditions, and competitor activities to protect and grow market share.
- Plan and execute localized marketing initiatives (e.g., client forums, coffee talks) in coordination with Area Business Directors and Product/Marketing groups.
- Actively promote digital banking channels to enhance client convenience and adoption.
Client Service Excellence
- Ensure prompt, high-touch delivery of banking services tailored to Preferred Banking clients.
- Address and resolve client inquiries, service requirements, and concerns well within prescribed Turnaround Times (TAT).
Operations, Risk Management & Control
- Support branch operations by acting as a secondary approver for over-the-counter transactions (as contingency upon management approval).
- Recommend and secure proper endorsements for special client requests.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of client data and strictly adhere to internal operational, safety, security, and risk control standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or related disciplines.
- With 5-10 years of solid understanding of financial markets, economic trends, branch banking operations, and basic accounting principles.
- In-depth knowledge of banking products/services, customized product bundling, and digital banking platforms.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills with a strong customer-first mindset and sharp business acumen.
