Branch Claims Analyst

Job Summary

The Branch Claims Analyst is responsible for processing insurance claims from receipt to evaluation and recommendation. This role involves reviewing claim documents, encoding claims data into the company's system, coordinating with claimants and adjusters, and ensuring that claims are handled accurately, efficiently, and in accordance with company policies.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and verify claim documents submitted by claimants or intermediaries to ensure completeness and accuracy
• Encode reported claims into the GENWEB system and establish appropriate loss reserves
• Evaluate claims and provide recommendations based on findings
• Assign claims to independent adjusters when necessary
• Coordinate with adjusters, claimants, insured parties, and other stakeholders to determine liability and coverage
• Prepare internal reports and compute probable liabilities for compensable claims
• Respond to inquiries related to handling accounts and provide necessary information
• Maintain organized claim files and ensure complete documentation
• Stay updated on insurance products, policies, and industry developments
• Develop investigation plans and gather supporting documents and information for claims assessment
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business and/or a vocational or technical course
• Strong background in claims evaluation and insurance processes
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, and others)
• Knowledgeable in insurance policies and coverage
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Good communication skills and negotiation skills
