Job Description

As a Branch Auditor ensures a company's local operations comply with internal policies, financial regulations, and best practices by conducting risk-based audits, reviewing transactions, identifying discrepancies, evaluating controls, and reporting findings to management, aiming to protect assets and improve efficiency. Key duties involve planning and executing audits, testing financial records, documenting findings, discussing recommendations with branch staff, and following up on corrective actions, often requiring significant travel.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Audit Execution: Plan, conduct, and document risk-based audits of branches, focusing on financial accuracy, operational efficiency, and adherence to controls.
  • Compliance: Verify compliance with banking laws, government regulations (like BSP in the Philippines), and internal policies

  • Financial Review: Examine financial statements, account books, transactions, and inventory records for discrepancies.
  • Risk Assessment: Identify potential risks, weaknesses in internal controls, and areas needing improvement.
  • Reporting: Prepare detailed audit working papers, draft audit reports, and communicate findings, issues, and recommendations to branch management and senior audit leadership.
  • Collaboration: Work with branch managers and staff to understand processes, resolve issues, and ensure implementation of corrective actions.
  • Mentorship: Guide and coach junior audit staff on audit procedures and professional standards.
  • Process Improvement: Contribute to enhancing audit programs and department processes.

Essential Skills & Qualifications:

  • A graduate of any Business Degree or equivalent
  • Must have branch audit experience`
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, auditing standards, and financial analysis.
  • High integrity, objectivity, and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) and presentation skills.
  • Ability to manage time, plan effectively, and work with minimal supervision.
  • Flexibility for frequent travel to different branch locations.
