Job Summary:
The Bookkeeping, Tax, and Accounting Manager leads a team that handles full-service bookkeeping, financial reporting, and tax compliance for multiple clients across various industries. This role ensures the delivery of high-quality, timely, and compliant services aligned with Philippine regulations and industry best practices. The manager is also responsible for client relationship management, workflow optimization, and mentoring junior staff.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Management
- Serve as the main point of contact for assigned clients regarding their accounting and tax needs.
- Ensure client deliverables (e.g., monthly reports, tax returns) are submitted accurately and on time.
- Conduct periodic meetings or reviews with clients to discuss financial performance and tax matters.
- Advise clients on financial processes, tax-saving opportunities, and regulatory compliance.

Bookkeeping & Accounting
- Oversee day-to-day bookkeeping for multiple clients, including recording transactions, bank reconciliations, and managing ledgers.
- Review and finalize financial reports such as Balance Sheets, Income Statements, and Cash Flow Reports.
- Ensure compliance with PFRS, internal standards, and client-specific accounting policies.
- Implement and improve bookkeeping systems, workflows, and tools to increase team efficiency.
Tax Compliance & Reporting
- Supervise preparation and filing of BIR returns (e.g., 1601C, 2550M/Q, 1701/1702, 2307, etc.).
- Handle BIR registration, updates, tax mapping, and audit cases on behalf of clients.
- Stay updated with BIR rulings and changes in tax regulations and ensure clients compliance.
- Review year-end tax returns and assist in the preparation of Audited Financial Statements (AFS) and SEC submissions if applicable.
Team Leadership
- Lead, train, and mentor a team of bookkeepers, accountants, and tax associates.
- Manage workloads, timelines, and resource allocation within the team.
- Conduct performance reviews and provide ongoing feedback to staff.
- Develop internal controls and standard operating procedures.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accountancy or related field; CPA or CTT license preferred.
- At least 5 years of experience in bookkeeping, tax, and accounting; with 2+ years in a supervisory or managerial capacity.
- Solid knowledge of BIR regulations, PFRS, and PEZA/BOI (if applicable).
- Experience in managing multiple clients or a portfolio within a firm setting.
- Familiarity with local accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, SAP B1, Wave, etc.).
- Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
Preferred Attributes:
- Experience in a BPO, outsourced accounting, or audit firm environment.
- Proven ability to manage deadlines and multiple client accounts.
