We're now looking for a detail-oriented Bookkeeper / Staff Accountant to take ownership of day-to-day bookkeeping and to partner closely with our Senior Accountant on loan reporting and loan operations analysis. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys clean books, sharp numbers, and wants exposure to the lending side of the business.
What You'll Do
Bookkeeping
• Manage accounts payable and receivable, including invoicing and vendor payments.
• Reconcile bank, credit card, and loan servicing accounts on a monthly basis.
• Maintain the general ledger and post accurate, well-documented journal entries.
• Support month-end and year-end close, including accruals and account reconciliations.
• Keep financial records organized and audit-ready.
Loan Reporting
• Prepare recurring lead management reports: lead volume, source, status, and conversion rates.
• Prepare loan status reports: originations, payoffs, past-due, and delinquency/aging.
• Track and report on collection activity, including outreach, promises to pay, and payment plans.
• Maintain loan schedules, payment histories, and collection notes/records.
• Ensure loan and lead data in the accounting system reconciles with the CRM and loan servicing platform.
Loan Operations Analysis
• Analyze lead-to-loan conversion trends and performance by lead source.
• Analyze collections effectiveness: recovery rates, aging buckets, and delinquency trends.
• Support cash flow forecasting tied to collections and expected recoveries.
• Flag accounts needing escalation, write-off review, or process attention for the Senior Accountant.
Collaboration
• Work directly under the Senior Accountant to support audits, tax preparation, and process improvements.
• Help document and streamline bookkeeping and loan-reporting workflows as the team grows.
