About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Bookkeeper to support multiple client accounts while working closely with our accounting and bookkeeping teams. This role is ideal for someone with strong Accounts Payable experience, proficiency in bookkeeping platforms, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Beyond maintaining accurate financial records, you will play an active role in improving and documenting bookkeeping processes that support operational excellence across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Categorize and reconcile financial transactions across multiple client accounts
- Process Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) accurately and on time
- Prepare and maintain organized work papers and supporting documentation for clients
- Perform regular bank and credit card reconciliations
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date books using QuickBooks and Xero
- Manage vendor invoices and payment workflows through Bill.com and similar platforms
- Support month-end closing activities and provide clean financial records to the accounting team
- Proactively identify and escalate discrepancies, unusual transactions, and outstanding items
- Collaborate with Bookkeepers, Staff Accountants, Accounting Managers, and cross-functional teams
- Assist in developing, documenting, and improving bookkeeping processes and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Effectively manage multiple client accounts while ensuring accuracy and timely completion of deliverables
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of bookkeeping experience
- At least 1–2 years of Accounts Payable and Bill.com experience
- Strong proficiency in QuickBooks Online
- Solid understanding of AP/AR processes and bank reconciliations
- Experience preparing work papers and maintaining organized financial records
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple client accounts simultaneously
- Willingness to work full-time during Pacific Standard Time (PST) hours
Preferred
- Experience supporting multiple clients or business entities
- QuickBooks Enterprise experience
- Xero experience
- Experience in manufacturing or retail industries
- Experience creating or improving SOPs and process documentation
- Strong interest in leveraging technology and automation to improve accounting workflows
