You own the defined financial outputs that support an Australian accounting firm, ensuring payroll, bookkeeping, and tax compliance documentation are consistently maintained. Your work follows established AU site protocols, global workflows, and coordination paths aligned with client expectations.

This is not a reactive support role. You operate within clear scopes, manage strict month-end and BAS deadlines, and are trusted to act decisively when data integrity or compliance readiness is at risk. Best suited for professionals who thrive in structured environments, value high-precision accountability, and prefer clear expectations over ambiguity.

You're Likely a Strong Fit If You Have

• Solid experience with accounting tools, specifically Xero and Microsoft Excel.
• A background in bookkeeping and financial reporting.

• Proficiency in the preparation and analysis of Business Activity Statements (BAS)
• Demonstrated success in managing both accounts receivable and accounts payable efficiently
• Experience setting up and maintaining Xero files from scratch
• Previous experience supporting AU-based SMEs or accounting firms

Responsibility Pillars

Payroll & Compliance Management

You own the accuracy of the payroll lifecycle, ensuring employees are paid correctly and regulatory obligations are met.

• Execute accurate payroll processing and maintain detailed employee records
• Oversee superannuation processes following AU compliance standards
• Manage the setup and structural integrity of Xero files

Financial Data & Reporting

You are accountable for the precision of financial reporting, ensuring all data entry reflects the current reality of the business.

• Capture, maintain, and report financial data with 100% accuracy
• Perform bank reconciliations and manage accounts receivable/payable
• Execute month-end financial close activities and generate analytical reports

BAS & Tax Support

You act as the central support for essential tax reporting, ensuring all draft filings are audit-ready.

• Contribute to the thorough drafting of Business Activity Statements (BAS)
• Liaise daily with the Australian accounting firm to align on delivery standards
• Identify and report workflow gaps to improve offshore delivery speed
