Job Overview

As a Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for providing accurate and timely bookkeeping and transactional finance support to ensure reliable financial records, smooth month-end processing and compliance with internal controls and statutory requirements.

Activities include:

1. Accounts payable

  • Process supplier invoices and credit notes; ensure correct coding, approvals and supporting documentation
  • Manage supplier statements, follow up discrepancies and maintain supplier master data
  • Prepare payment runs in line with approval limits and schedules
  • Process credit card transactions, ensure correct coding and documentation

2. Accounts receivable

  • Review and approve invoices issued from CRM system and apply receipts
  • Monitor payment plans and escalate risks/issues
  • Resolve billing queries promptly and professionally

3. Bank and Balance Sheet reconciliations

  • Perform daily bank reconciliation and investigate variances

4. Payroll support

  • Assist with payroll processing support tasks (timesheet checks, leave data accuracy)
  • Maintain employee data changes with appropriate approvals
  • Support payroll reconciliation and payroll reporting as required.

5. BAS / GST and compliance support (if applicable)

  • Prepare working papers for BAS/IAS, ensuring GST coding accuracy and documentation completeness.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of bookkeeping experience supporting one organization or one dedicated client, andprocessing high-volume transactions across end-to-end bookkeeping.
  • Experience working with Xero is required.
  • AU experience is highly preferred.
