The team values highly organized, proactive professionals who can manage financial and analytical tasks, maintaining and keeping books up-to-date, keeping an accurate and up-to-date cash flow analysis, and providing guidance to leadership in financial decision-making. The professional will also be able to manage paying vendors, receiving payments, sending purchase orders, and issuing purchase orders to help leadership focus on high-impact priorities. This role offers flexibility and exposure to strategic financial operations.

About the Role

We are seeking a Bookkeeper / Finance Analyst to manage day-to-day bookkeeping and cash-flow analysis, while providing analytical support for product costing and pricing. This is a part-time, remote role requiring strong financial accuracy, analytical thinking, and trustworthiness.

This role combines bookkeeping responsibilities with cost analysis using specialized software (including Quickbooks and other software, to help optimize product formulation costs, monitor vendor pricing, and support strategic financial decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate bookkeeping, including invoicing, accounts payable/receivable, cash flow monitoring, and financial reporting.
  • Use QuickBooks and Excel/Google Sheets to manage and track financial data.
  • Calculate ingredient and product costs to determine optimal pricing.
  • Compile, analyze, and report data for cost optimization initiatives.
  • Maintain organized records of all financial and pricing information.
  • Collaborate with leadership to ensure financial accuracy and alignment with business goals.
  • Identify opportunities for efficiency and cost savings in financial processes and product formulations.

Competencies and Qualifications

Must-Have

  • Proven experience in bookkeeping or finance-related roles (5+ years preferred).
  • Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • High attention to detail and precision in financial tasks.
  • Proficiency with QuickBooks and Excel/Google Sheets.
  • Trustworthiness and ability to handle confidential financial information.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage tasks independently.

Nice-to-Have

  • Experience with product costing, pricing, or manufacturing environments.
  • Familiarity with chemical or ingredient formulations.
  • Exposure to cost accounting, budgeting, or financial modeling.
  • Understanding of strategic financial management.
  • Experience with data entry, reporting, or workflow optimization.
