Job Description

Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented, reliable, and highly organized Bookkeeper to join our growing team in a remote, part-time position. As a certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor, you will work closely with our Bookkeeping Manager to support multiple client accounts by maintaining ongoing bookkeeping and performing vital cleanup projects when needed. We want a dependable professional who thrives in a collaborative team environment and is deeply focused on delivering excellent service to our clients.

Schedule:

  • Part-time (Starting at 20 hours per week)
  • Monday and Wednesday from 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM EST, with the remaining hours being flexible.
  • Note: There is an opportunity to scale up to 30 hours per week or full-time based on performance, business needs, and client base growth.

Responsibilities

  • Download and categorize bank and credit card transactions in QuickBooks
  • Manage a starting workload of 25–30 client accounts
  • Reconcile bank accounts and credit card accounts monthly
  • Prepare and record payroll journal entries
  • Perform cleanup bookkeeping projects, including reviewing, correcting, and organizing historical financial data
  • Identify and correct reconciliation discrepancies, uncategorized transactions, and account coding errors
  • Maintain accurate and organized financial records
  • Track account progress and workflow using HubSpot CRM
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure client deadlines are met
  • Attend weekly Zoom meetings with the Bookkeeping Manager to review workload, priorities, and account status
  • Communicate proactively regarding account issues, missing information, and client needs

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of bookkeeping experience
  • Advanced QuickBooks Pro Advisor Certification required
  • Demonstrated experience with bookkeeping cleanup and catch-up work
  • Strong understanding of accounting fundamentals, including debits, credits, journal entries, and account reconciliations
  • Experience managing multiple client accounts simultaneously
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfortable using HubSpot CRM to manage workflows and communicate with the team
  • Ability to work independently while meeting deadlines and quality standards
