We're helping a pair of growing creative businesses in the ceramics and chocolate industries find a reliable and detail-oriented
Bookkeeper to support their financial operations. You'll manage day-to-day bookkeeping across multiple accounts, ensure accurate records, and provide financial clarity that helps the founders focus on growth.
Part-Time: 10 hours/week (with potential to grow to full-time)
Schedule: Flexible, but must be available for catch-ups in

Engagement: Independent Contractor
Rate: 200-400 USD (10-hour workweek, depending on level of experience)

What You'll Do
- Manage QuickBooks Online including reconciliations, categorizing expenses, and invoice management
- Clear existing backlog of bank reconciliations and maintain accurate, up-to-date records
- Generate and send client invoices, track payments, and issue reminders as needed
- Handle international transfers via Airwallex and similar platforms
- Manage retainer billing for select clients
- Track and organize financial records across multiple revenue streams
- Assist in preparing monthly and quarterly reports
- (Optional) Support with tax preparation and filing
What We're Looking For
- Proven bookkeeping experience (at least 1 year), ideally with small or creative businesses
- Proficiency with QuickBooks Online
- Experience handling international transactions
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Good written and spoken English communication skills
- Comfortable with remote tools (Google Drive, QuickBooks, Slack/WhatsApp)
Nice-to-Haves
- Familiarity with Airwallex or other multi-currency platforms
- Understanding of Australian accounting/tax standards
- Experience working in creative industries, eCommerce, or hospitality
