Position Responsibilities:
- Adheres to the rules of the design, fabrication, installation, inspection, care, and use of boiler and pressure vessels.
- Performs welding and pipe fitting jobs using welding techniques in the repair and maintenance of plant equipment.
- Performs metal cutting with the use of electric arc, plasma, and gas.
- Determines the proper wire and filler material application for various steel alloys.
- Interprets and follows drawings/instructions of welding requirements.
- Diagnoses and finds solutions to welding defects/problems.
- Performs grinding application using manual and power tools.
- Participates in Root Cause Analysis and submits the report to the Line Supervisor.
- Performs data collection and encodes all activities in CMMS.
- Monitors work backlogs and creates a plan to reduce or eliminate work backlogs.
- Works with the welding team/contractors in the repair of plant equipment.
- Supports other maintenance sections in welding activities of their assigned tasks.
- Maintains good housekeeping in workplaces.
- Ensures all activities are performed safely and effectively with the plant procedures.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Technical/Vocational Course or Bachelor of Science in Industrial Technology graduate.
- TESDA NCII Welding Certificate Holder (Combination)
- At least five (4) years of in construction maintenance in power generation or related industries.
