Job Purpose
The Bim Modeller is responsible for supervising and coordinating the site execution of cast-in-place concrete works for the Utility Building and Septic Tank. The role ensures that construction activities are performed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, safety standards, and project schedule while maintaining quality, productivity, and proper coordination with the project team.
Duties And Responsibilities
BIM Modeling & Documentation
- Develop detailed 3D BIM models for precast concrete components such as panels, beams, columns, slabs, stairs, and connections.
- Produce shop drawings, assembly drawings, and installation drawings from BIM models.
- Ensure models reflect accurate dimensions, reinforcement, embeds, connections, and tolerances.
- Update and revise models based on design changes, RFIs, and coordination feedback.
Coordination & Collaboration
- Coordinate BIM models with architectural, structural, and MEP disciplines.
- Participate in clash detection and coordination meetings.
- Collaborate with engineers, detailers, project managers, and production teams.
- Support construction sequencing and installation planning using BIM.
Data Management & Reporting
- Maintain organized BIM files, families, and libraries.
- Prepare BIM deliverables as required by project milestones.
- Support model handover and as-built documentation.
Qualifications
Education
Bachelors degree or diploma in
Civil Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field.
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in Autodesk Revit (Structure)
- Experience with Navisworks for coordination and clash detection
- Knowledge of precast detailing practices and construction sequencing
- Familiarity with AutoCAD and BIM standards
- Understanding of structural drawings, reinforcement detailing, and concrete design principles
