BIM Modeler

ROLE SUMMARY

Our client is looking for a Project Modeler who will be setting modeling standards and ensuring the quality and accuracy of models and will help execute the plan. This role will coordinate with clients and participate in continuous improvement activities.

LOCATION: Must be residing in the Philippines – Remote.

ENVIRONMENT: Philippines and International Teams.

WORK SCHEDULE: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Mountain Daylight Time (10:00 PM – 7:00 AM Philippine Standard Time), follows Philippine holidays

POSITION TYPE: Full Time

WORK ARRANGEMENT: Remote

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Produce structural drawings and create Revit models that meet quality standards:
• Check the quality of own work
• Apply advanced model execution (complex geometry)
• Ensure construction documents are accurately modeled
• Handle family creation
• Analyze presentation considerations (use of 3D views)
• Follow BIM content standards and development procedures
• Work closely with project team to obtain project information and ensure drawings are accurate and complete
• Execute sprint plan:
• Communicate learning or questions, commit and execute plan of approach, and check in cadence
• Communicate early and often when roadblocks to the plan are identified
• Balance multiple deadlines and changing priorities
• Develop understanding of personal efficiency in areas of proficiency
• Manage client coordination:
• Communicate independently with client through client meetings, phone call and email exchanges in collaboration
• Coordinate drawing development with technical staff
• Communicate updates to project team
• Participate and execute continuous improvement activities:
• Seek out and participate in continuing education
• Develop a growing proficiency in material, market, and project types
• Participate in material groups; update and improve standards and best practices

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Associate's degree or combined education and experience; a bachelor's degree preferred
• 2+ years full time work experience in structural design
• Experience in mid-sized structural projects ($5M - $50M)
• Working knowledge of concrete, steel, wood, light gauge and/or masonry design preferred
• 2 years of Revit experience
• Python, Tekla, and SDSII experience preferred
