About the Role
We are looking for a BIM Architect / BIM Documentation Specialist with strong hands-on experience in Autodesk Revit and/or Archicad to support architectural documentation projects for international clients.
This role is production-focused, ideal for professionals who are comfortable working independently, following established standards, and delivering high-quality drawing sets under structured workflows.
This is not a design-heavy role. The focus is on accurate, coordinated, and well-documented construction drawings using client standards and BIM best practices.
Key Responsibilities
BIM Documentation & Production
- Produce architectural drawings including plans, sections, elevations, details, and schedules.
- Develop and maintain well-structured BIM models aligned with project requirements.
- Set up and manage sheets, views, annotations, and publishing workflows.
- Ensure drawings are accurate, coordinated, and ready for issue.
BIM Model Management
- Work with linked models, references, and external consultant inputs.
- Maintain model integrity through proper use of:
- Worksets / collaboration tools (Revit)
- Teamwork, Hotlinks, and model references (Archicad)
- Apply office and client BIM standards, templates, and QA checklists consistently.
Quality Assurance & Coordination
- Perform self-checks and QA reviews before submission.
- Identify and resolve documentation issues proactively.
- Coordinate drawing updates based on markups, RFIs, and design changes.
Remote Collaboration
- Work closely with project leads and offshore/onshore teams.
- Communicate clearly through structured channels (written updates, task tracking).
- Meet deadlines across different time zones, when required.
Required Skills & Experience
Technical Requirements
- Strong production experience using Autodesk Revit and/or Archicad.
- Proven ability to deliver construction-level documentation, not just concept models.
- Experience with:
- View management and annotation standards
- Sheet setup and publishing
- Model coordination and QA processes
- Comfortable working with foreign architectural firm standards (preferred but not mandatory).
Experience Level
- Minimum 13 years of professional BIM documentation experience.
- Applicants with 3+ years of strong production experience are highly preferred.
Working Style & Expectations
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Comfortable following strict standards, templates, and workflows.
- Reliable, detail-oriented, and process-driven.
- Professional communication and accountability in a remote setup.
- Open to feedback and continuous improvement.
Nice to Have
- Experience working with Australian, Canadian, or international firms
- Exposure to IFC coordination
- Understanding of BIM QA/QC processes
- Ability to work on multiple projects with clear prioritization
What We Offer
- Fully remote work setup
- Exposure to international architectural projects
- Structured workflows and clear expectations
- Long-term collaboration opportunities for high performers
- A professional, process-driven environment focused on quality and reliability
Application Process
Shortlisted candidates will be asked to complete a BIM screening form and may be invited to a 3045 minute online interview.
