Role Purpose: The BIM / 3D Modeller is responsible for developing, maintaining, and coordinating accurate Building Information Modelling (BIM) and 3D models for Coates shoring products and temporary works solutions. The role supports project delivery by producing high-quality models, detailed documentation, and ensuring alignment with site installation requirements, engineering standards, and As-Built conditions.
This role plays a critical part in project coordination, technical documentation, and collaboration with engineering, site operations, and project stakeholders to ensure efficient and compliant project execution.
Key Responsibilities:BIM Modelling & Documentation
- Develop, update, and maintain detailed BIM models for Coates shoring systems, temporary works, and related engineering solutions in accordance with project specifications and operational requirements.
- Produce accurate 3D models, technical drawings, installation layouts, and construction documentation using Revit, AutoCAD, and other BIM software platforms.
- Generate project documentation including plans, sections, elevations, schedules, and As-Built models.
- Ensure all modelling outputs align with approved engineering designs and site installation requirements.
- Update and revise models throughout the project lifecycle to reflect design changes and field conditions.
Model Coordination & BIM Management
- Coordinate BIM workflows across multiple projects and stakeholders to maintain consistency and efficiency.
- Set up project BIM environments, templates, datasets, model structures, and collaboration workflows.
- Ensure BIM deliverables comply with project standards and required Level of Development (LOD) requirements.
- Conduct model reviews, clash detection activities, and coordination checks to identify and resolve design conflicts proactively.
- Maintain model integrity, data accuracy, and version control throughout project execution.
Technical Coordination & Site Support
- Work closely with engineering teams, project managers, and site personnel to ensure models accurately reflect installation methodologies and site conditions.
- Participate in coordination meetings and provide technical support related to modelling and documentation requirements.
- Support project delivery by resolving modelling issues and providing timely technical solutions.
- Coordinate updates arising from construction changes and As-Built requirements.
- Assist site teams by translating technical requirements into clear visual and model-based deliverables.
