Job Description

ROLE OVERVIEW

This position plays a key role in supporting financial operations within a global logistics and supply chain environment. The role is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely billing processes by validating transactional data, coordinating with operational teams, and maintaining compliance with internal standards and client agreements. It also involves managing billing-related concerns to support overall service delivery and client satisfaction.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Review and validate billing information by cross-checking shipment, service, or transactional data against supporting documentation
  • Collaborate with operations, customer service, and documentation teams to collect, verify, and reconcile billing inputs across multiple service lines (e.g., freight forwarding, warehousing, or transport services)
  • Prepare and issue invoices in accordance with contractual terms and service-level agreements
  • Manage billing exceptions, including adjustments, corrections, and issuance of credit or debit notes where required
  • Maintain accurate and organized billing records to support reporting, reconciliation, and audit requirements
  • Investigate and resolve client billing inquiries or discrepancies in a timely and professional manner
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, financial processes, and client-specific billing instructions
  • Contribute to process improvements by identifying recurring issues or inefficiencies in billing workflows
  • Support other finance or operations-related tasks as needed

QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS

  • Background in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field
  • Experience in Cargowise One
  • Previous experience in billing, invoicing, or finance operations, ideally within logistics, supply chain, or a service-driven industry
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage high-volume transactions accurately
  • Effective communication and coordination skills for working with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders
  • Ability to analyze and resolve discrepancies independently
  • Proficiency in standard office tools and/or enterprise systems (e.g., ERP, billing platforms)
  • Ability to work within deadlines in a fast-paced, operational environment
