Job Description

Work From Anywhere in LATAM

Work Schedule: EST

Compensation Range: $1300 USD/month based on experience

A healthcare services organization specializing in behavioral-health revenue cycle operations is looking for a Billing Specialist to keep claims clean, accurate, and ready for timely submission across the revenue cycle.

The company builds scalable billing systems designed to improve claim accuracy, reduce preventable delays, and maximize reimbursement outcomes. It operates in a fast-paced environment where operational excellence, accountability, and proactive communication drive performance.

Day-to-day, the role centers on pre-submission coding review, EHR billing queue management, secondary insurance billing, and billing performance reporting. The Billing Specialist validates CPT, ICD-10, and modifier usage, resolves held claims, and coordinates with clinical and administrative teams to clear documentation gaps. Success means cleaner billing queues, fewer preventable holds, and a faster, more reliable claim submission process

Requirements

Must-Have

  • 1+ year of experience in medical billing or revenue cycle management
  • Working knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and modifier usage with the ability to validate coding accuracy before submission
  • Hands-on experience with EHR platforms, including billing queue management and resolution of held claims
  • Experience with pre-submission claim editing — correcting missing information, demographic mismatches, and coding inconsistencies prior to submission
  • Experience with Candid or a comparable medical billing platform
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets and payer portals for billing workflows
  • C1+ English (CEFR) for cross-functional coordination with US-based clinical and administrative teams

Nice-to-Have

  • Behavioral health or ABA billing experience
  • Familiarity with secondary insurance billing and coordination of benefits, including primary EOB attachment
  • Experience billing TRICARE, HMSA, Medicaid, and commercial insurers
  • Exposure to high-volume healthcare billing operations
  • Experience with reporting and analytics tools for billing performance tracking
