Bilingual Personal Injury Litigation Paralegal

Job Type: Full-Time

Work Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM Pacific Time with a 30-minute break

Salary: $1,500 per month

Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Bilingual Personal Injury Litigation Paralegal to support a growing California personal injury litigation practice. This is not an entry-level position. The successful candidate should have hands-on litigation experience and be comfortable supporting attorneys throughout the litigation process, including preparing lawsuits, drafting litigation documents, preparing Case Management Conference (CMC) Statements, managing discovery, calendaring litigation deadlines, and maintaining organized electronic case files. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to work independently while collaborating closely with attorneys in a fast-paced litigation environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support attorneys throughout the personal injury litigation process.
  • Prepare lawsuits and litigation documents under attorney supervision.
  • Prepare and coordinate court filings.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, and other litigation-related documents.
  • Prepare Case Management Conference (CMC) Statements and related court filings.
  • Propound and respond to written discovery under attorney supervision.
  • Track discovery requests and responses.
  • Calendar discovery deadlines, hearings, filing deadlines, CMCs, and other litigation events.
  • Maintain accurate litigation calendars and ensure deadlines are not missed.
  • Assist attorneys with document preparation and case organization.
  • Conduct legal and case-related research as requested.
  • Maintain complete and organized electronic litigation files.
  • Coordinate with attorneys and the PI case management team regarding case status and upcoming deadlines.
  • Review filings for accuracy and completeness before submission.
  • Monitor rejected or deficient filings and promptly correct issues.
  • Help transition matters from pre-litigation into litigation.
  • Provide ongoing litigation support as the firm's caseload grows.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Law degree required.
  • Prior hands-on litigation experience.
  • Experience supporting U.S. attorneys in civil litigation, preferably personal injury.
  • Strong understanding of the litigation process from lawsuit preparation through case resolution.
  • Experience preparing court filings, pleadings, and litigation documents.
  • Experience preparing Case Management Conference (CMC) Statements.
  • Experience propounding and responding to written discovery.
  • Strong calendaring and deadline management skills, including tracking discovery deadlines and court dates.
  • Fluent in spoken and written English and Spanish.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating closely with supervising attorneys.
  • Strong organizational and case management skills.
  • Comfortable managing multiple active litigation matters and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Legal education or attorney experience in the candidate's home country is preferred but not required.
  • Personal injury litigation experience is strongly preferred.
  • Experience with California civil litigation is preferred.
  • Familiarity with California court procedures and electronic filing systems is preferred.

Note: An NBI or police clearance will be required upon acceptance of the job offer.
