Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Virtual Medical Scribe to support a busy U.S.-based medical practice specializing in Orthopedics, Pain Management, Spine, and Workers Compensation cases.

This role focuses primarily on real-time medical scribing during patient visits while also assisting with patient communication, intake coordination, QME outreach, and administrative support. The ideal candidate has strong medical terminology knowledge, experience working in fast-paced clinical environments, and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform real-time medical scribing using iPad-based workflows
  • Accurately document patient encounters in eClinicalWorks (ECW)
  • Assist providers with chart preparation and clinical documentation
  • Handle inbound and outbound patient calls professionally
  • Support appointment coordination and patient intake processes
  • Maintain organized documentation and communication
  • Support general administrative and patient coordination tasks

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Medical Scribe or in a similar role within a U.S.-based healthcare setting
  • Strong understanding of medical terminology and clinical documentation processes
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills

Please note that this is a full-time contractor position (40 hours per week) with a pay rate of $7 - $8 per hour depending on skillset and experience. The schedule is Monday through Friday, from 8 AM to 5 PM PST.
