Big Data Analytics Specialist
Job Summary:
Supports advanced analytics by developing predictive and prescriptive models, analyzing large datasets, and delivering actionable insights. Collaborates with Data Engineers to ensure reliable data pipelines and communicates findings through reports and dashboards. Promotes best practices in model development and continuous improvement to support business goals.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Apply advanced statistical and analytical techniques to large-scale datasets for forecasting, customer analytics, and operational optimization.
- Develop, validate, and deploy predictive and prescriptive models with proper feature engineering and assumption checks.
- Collaborate with Data Engineers to ensure high-quality, reliable, and scalable data pipelines.
- Translate complex data insights into actionable recommendations and communicate results through dashboards and reports.
- Drive innovation and implement best practices in model development, monitoring, and continuous improvement.
Job Qualifications
Education (Major/Courses):
- Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Work Experience (Overall/Specific):
- At least 2 years of experience in data science or advanced analytis, cloud platforms such as AWS, Snowflake, Azure, or GCP.
- Proven experience in predictive modeling, machine learning, and data-driven decision support.
Technical Skills:
- Intermediate proficiency in Python, SQL, Spark, and machine learning techniques.
- Basic to intermediate skill in data visualization tools like Power BI or Tableau.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data interpretation skills.
Licenses/Certificates:
- Relevant certifications in Data Science, Machine Learning, Cloud Platforms, or Analytics are a plus (e.g., AWS Certified Data Analytics, Microsoft Power BI, Google Professional Data Engineer).
