Job Summary

The Lexmark/Xerox Bid Manager drives the end-to-end commercial proposal process for enterprise clients. This role project-manages the creation of compliant, highly competitive bids from initial discovery through to contract execution. Operating across global regions, the Bid Manager collaborates with sales leadership and cross-functional teams to build strategic solutions, establish trading terms, and deliver winning documentation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Management: Oversee proposal timelines, assign deliverables, and enforce version control for all master bid files.
  • RFP Analysis: Review Requests for Proposals (RFPs) thoroughly to map client needs, submission rules, compliance requirements, and potential risks.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with global sales units (NA, EMEA, AP) and Subject Matter Experts in Legal, R&D, and HR to gather technical input.
  • Content & Quality Control: Consolidate, copyedit, and format team submissions to eliminate errors and align with strict client formatting rules.
  • Internal Governance: Facilitate formal corporate reviews, manage approval routing, and secure necessary executive endorsements prior to submission.
  • Strategic Insights: Track emerging client trends to refine internal marketing materials and support post-RFP inquiries.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 2–3 years of dedicated corporate bidding or business writing experience.
  • Language: Professional-level fluency in written and verbal English.
  • Tech Stack: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Operations: Willingness to work regular night shifts to align with US and Canadian business hours.
  • Pluses: Prior experience in copyediting, layout layout, or art direction.
