Full Stack BI (PowerBI) Engineer
The ideal candidate should be comfortable moving between stakeholder requirements, data modeling, SQL/data pipeline and Power BI development, security, performance optimization, and production support.
Role Summary
. Design, develop, and optimize ETL/ELT processes using Python&plusSQL ingest, transform, and load data from various sources into data warehouses or lakes.
. Build and maintain tabular models, including data modeling, DAX calculations, relationships, partitions, and row-level security.
. Develop complex SQL queries, views, and functions for data extraction, aggregation, and performance tuning.
. Create and support Power BI datasets, reports, and dashboards, connecting to SSAS models or direct data sources for interactive visualizations.
. Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, design data models, and ensure solutions meet business needs for reporting and analytics.
. Implement data quality checks, governance, and monitoring to maintain accuracy and reliability of data pipelines.
. Optimize data models and queries for performance, scalability, and cost efficiency.
. Support migration or integration of legacy systems into modern Microsoft BI environments.
Must-Have Skills
. Solid understanding of ETL/ELT using Python&plusSQL, data validation, data quality, and performance optimization.
. Strong hands-on Power BI development experience, including reports, dashboards, datasets, and semantic models.
. Advanced DAX, Power Query, SQL, and data modeling skills.
. Experience with data warehouses, data marts and cloud data platforms(GCP).
. Ability to communicate clearly with business stakeholders, product owners, data engineers, and engineering teams.
. Familiarity with CI/CD, version control, deployment pipelines, or governed analytics release processes.
Preferred Experience
. Experience with Tableau or other BI tools.
. Experience with proprietary or internal reporting tools.
. Exposure to Agile methodologies and familiarity with iterative development.
. Familiarity with AI-assisted development workflows.
