Job Description

The Compensation and Benefits Manager is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing the organization's compensation and benefits programs. This role ensures internal equity, external competitiveness, compliance with labor laws, and alignment with the company's overall HR and business strategies. The position also oversees payroll coordination, benefits administration, job evaluations, and market benchmarking to support talent attraction, retention, and employee engagement.

Key Responsibilities

Compensation Management

  • Develop and maintain the company's compensation structure, salary bands, and job leveling systems.
  • Conduct regular market salary benchmarking and recommend adjustments to ensure competitiveness.
  • Manage annual compensation reviews, including merit increases, promotion adjustments, and bonus payouts.
  • Review job descriptions and conduct job evaluations to ensure proper alignment within the compensation framework.
  • Partner with HRBPs and leaders on salary proposals, hiring packages, and internal equity review.

Benefits Administration

  • Oversee the administration of statutory and company-provided benefits (HMO, insurance, allowances, etc.).
  • Manage relationships with external vendors and negotiate cost-effective employee benefits packages.
  • Lead the evaluation and improvement of benefit programs to enhance employee satisfaction and retention.
  • Ensure timely enrollment, renewal, and changes in employee benefits.

Payroll Coordination

  • Coordinate closely with Payroll to ensure accurate processing of compensation changes, benefits, and deduction updates.
  • Validate payroll reports involving compensation adjustments, benefits, and incentive payouts.

Compliance & Policies

  • Ensure all compensation and benefits policies comply with local labor laws and regulatory standards.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of compensation structures, guidelines, and internal processes.
  • Support audits and regulatory reporting related to compensation and benefits.

Analytics & Reporting

  • Prepare regular reports on compensation trends, benefits utilization, headcount costs, and budget forecasts.
  • Recommend data-driven solutions to optimize compensation strategies and control labor costs.

Employee Support

  • Provide guidance to employees on compensation and benefits policies.
  • Handle escalations related to payroll, benefits, incentives, and other C&B-related matters.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or related field.
  • At least 57 years of experience in compensation and benefits, with 23 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
  • Strong knowledge of local labor laws, statutory benefits, and compensation frameworks.
  • Experience with salary benchmarking tools and HR systems (e.g., Darwinbox, SAP SuccessFactors, Workday, Oracle).
  • Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage confidential information.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and data analysis is required.
