Job Description

Position Summary

The Benefit Administration Coordinator will provide Tier 2 support to the Tenet benefits department which delivers many complex benefit programs including, but not limited to: medical, dental, vision, pharmacy, voluntary plans and various spending accounts. The Benefit Administration Coordinator will work closely with our 3 rd party benefit administration vendor to support employees, their manager and/or HR on issues or inquires related to benefit eligibility, coverage elections, benefit deductions, coverage verification, qualifying life events, etc. The Benefit Administration Coordinator will follow administrative processes, procedures and provide client support/education to ensure adherence to established benefit plans, company policies and procedures, and applicable state and federal laws.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Research and resolve complex inquiries from employees, managers, or HR regarding health & welfare benefit issues via TenetOne Tickets or 3rd party vendor cases.

• Collaborate with multiple internal teams including Benefits, Leaves, HR Ops, HRIS, Payroll, Labor Relations, Employee Relations to resolve employee issues.

• Review and resolve employee data errors with our 3rd party vendor on a daily cadence.

• Execute regular and adhoc reporting requests.

• Complete benefit coverage verification forms and special letter requests to verify coverage.

• Identify, escalate and work to resolve issues which may impact interfaces, mapping and communications.

• Provide overall support to ensure successful management, execution and delivery of Tenet US health and insurance benefits

• Demonstrates an in depth understanding of Tenet HR policies and processes related to US Benefit Administration.

• Support management and administrative practices to ensure they follow plan documents, ERISA, Department of Labor regulations and Union Collective Bargaining Agreements (CBAs) for all US Health and Insurance programs.

• Create and maintain solid operational processes and practices to ensure compliance and consistency in the execution of benefit administration.

• Support Tenet's Annual Enrollment process to ensure benefits are delivered accurately and timely by working with key stakeholders and 3rd party vendors.

• Support and perform other duties as assigned.

Required Work Experience and Education:

  • 1–4 years of professional experience in HR, benefits administration, and US State Benefit Leaves Administration experience.
  • Has experience in managing various employee LOA cases, including Short-Term Disability, FMLA, state medical leave, unpaid LOA, and unique cases.
  • College Graduate
