Job Description

As a Benefits Administration Analyst for Health & Benefits, you will materially contribute to clients benefits strategy through supporting Asia Pacific clients in enrolment of benefits, data validation, flexible benefits administration, claims processing, reporting and query handling. You will have the ability to significant grow your benefits acumen, and financial, client and project management skills by working on cutting edge projects alongside leaders in the industry.

The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented and have excellent data analysis. Also, exposure or background in the benefits brokerage / insurance administration work is required. The position would also require project management skills and customer support / management skills. Job Responsibilities:

  • Support the execution of Benefit Plan Administration on behalf of onshore team in the Asia Pacific region, following agreed processes, tools and templates.
  • Core delivery will include:
  • Monthly payroll/provider processing and data analysis in excel using formulas
  • Data Processing of new joiner information
  • Respond to Mailbox enquires daily
  • Deal with queries and requests using in-house system
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues by sharing knowledge, ideas & solutions
  • Identify areas where the service to clients/members could be improved
  • Ensure deadlines and targets/service level agreements are meet through effective planning
  • Assist in more complex / project work when required e.g. annual scheme renewal
  • Provide an efficient, professional service to meet all client/members needs and to promote the company brand
  • Develop a strong knowledge of clients flexible benefits schemes and requirements
  • Undertake both enrolment and on-going administration of client benefit data
  • Communicate effectively with clients/members via email and telephone
  • Administrative onboarding of new clients and assistance to enrolment processes ensuring data is updated
  • Process, project and transaction management
  • Support policy renewal activities
  • Liaise with internal processing teams to validate and clean benefits enrolment and eligibility data and ensure correctness of carrier/vendor invoice
  • Follow regulatory procedure as defined by originating country

In addition to this, you will:

  • Attend training, meetings and/other educational events to increase understanding of trends, regulations and developments in the market
  • Develop an awareness of the insurance carrier and vendor marketplace
  • Understand and effectively articulate carrier / vendor specific strengths and weaknesses
  • Receive training from experienced consultants and assist to review client needs
  • Comply with internal excellence and compliance requirements
  • Contribute to the development of new intellectual capital

Technical Skills and Experience

  • Experience in flexible benefits administration or financial services would be an advantage
  • Strong analytical, creative and integrative skills
  • Experience with data entry, validation and manipulation
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills, particularly in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to review and check data against subject domain knowledge (e.g., health and group benefits) and understand the data's applicability/accuracy for the designated purpose

Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree/ College Diploma
  • At least 1 year experience working as a data analyst with good acumen to numbers and understanding of data
  • Insurance experience
  • Experience in reconciling data between insurers, vendors, clients, and brokers with a strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English Strong client service orientation and ability to respond to multiple stake holders effectively and in a timely manner
  • Ability to work on multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment while adhering to strict deadlines is a must Well organized and detail oriented
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative working style
  • Self-starter attitude and ability to establish priorities, work independently and with limited supervision
  • Ability to ask the right questions and seek help where appropriate
  • Take accountability for quality and on-time delivery of own work and involving other team members when appropriate
  • Support interactions between clients, company and insurance vendors
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills, particularly in Excel and PowerPoint
