Primarily responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely settlement of financial transactions and corresponding corporate actions for non-local securities. The position is also responsible for ensuring a smooth workflow of activities with BDO Wealth Management units (BDO Securities, BDO Private Bank), BDO Treasury, Philippine Dealing System Holdings Corp. & Subsidiaries (PDS Group), Bureau of Treasury, custodians and various counterparties.
Duties and Responsibilities:
A. Transaction Processing and Securities Settlement
- Ensures complete, accurate and timely settlements of Fixed Income and Mutual Fund products.
- Monitor the daily processing of Fixed Income and Mutual Fund products.
- Monitor the processing of Initial Public Offering of Fixed Income Listings.
- Ensures client's accounts are credited in Avaloq and PDS Settlements.
- Authorizes Fixed Income transactions via PDS Clear, PDS Settle and NRoss.
- Checks reconciliation reports such as Inventory Reconciliation Reports and/or Stock Position Reports.
- Ensures compliance of processing procedures within guidelines/standards set by BSC, by the Unibank and other regulatory bodies.
B. General Supervision / Project Management
- Develops strategies to achieve productivity in terms of shorter turnaround time for document processing and quick response to delivery of required data/information.
- 1.1 Assesses constantly the unit's weaknesses and capabilities to ensure faster response to problems and opportunities.
- 1.2 Ensures that service delivery modes remain responsive to clients requirements by reviewing regularly the processes for possible innovations.
- 1.3 Ensures the unit's flexibility to respond effectively to the changing requirements of clients and the business.
- Trains and coaches staff to be knowledgeable of the established products and operating processes thereby promoting flexibility among staff.
- Assists in the development of product and/or policy manuals for new ventures/projects specifically in the areas of operating procedures, documentation and control functions.
- Supports and assists other units in BDO Securities (Marketing, Sales & Trading), BDO Wealth (BDO Private Bank) for special deals/projects.
- Encourages/motivates staff to actively participate in reviewing existing processes for possible enhancements/streamlining to improve productivity.
C. Compliance
- Enforces compliance to internal policies and procedures as well as external regulatory agencies.
- Responsible in preparation of replies/responses to examination comments and audit findings by internal and external auditors for areas concerning the function.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree relevant to the job
- With at least 5 years of experience in brokerage operations
- Knowledge on Equity and Fixed Income Brokerage
- With supervisory skills and computer literate
Candidates must be willing to work onsite daily in Ortigas/Makati.
