Job Description

The Role

As a Quality Assurance Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance to credit, documentation review, and after sales policies and procedure for all retail products. Ensure that credit and operational risks are properly identified, reported and monitored in accordance with Bank policies.

How you'll contribute

  • Governance, Control, and Risk Management - Monitors implementation of corrective measures to ensure that issues around the Credit Policy and process implementation are resolved.
  • Understanding and Application of Compliance and Regulatory Guidelines - Ensures full awareness of developments and updates in regulatory rules, policies and procedures based on released circulars / announcements of regulatory bodies (e.g. BSP) or as advised by authorized units of the Bank (e.g. Compliance, Legal) to achieve a wider perspective of credit principles crucial in performing their QA review.
  • Analytical and Critical Thinking - Assesses the adequacy of corrective and preventive action plans by analyzing their potential to fully address and/or prevent identified quality issues. Conducts investigation into possible fraud-related transactions or occurrences directly coordinate with the Fraud Management Team to ensure that this will be addressed properly.
  • Quality Orientation - Ensures delivery of tasks is strictly observed so that processes are accomplished and delivered on time and no small details are overlooked. Manages performance of oneself by being self-sufficient and recognized to be reliable to provide valuable contribution in the Quality Assurance Team.
  • Project Management - Manages dealings with various units of the Bank in line with their QA review of loans based on credit policies and guidelines to ensure the units serviced are consistent and correct in their understanding / interpretation of the said policies.
  • Process Improvement - Identifies the need for innovating the Quality Assurance team processes by providing valuable recommendations, presenting structured action plans in transforming ideas into initiative to ensure that the services catered to the stakeholders are efficient and adjusts to the changing times. Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives by providing insights based on critical assessments of QA processes and outcomes.
  • Documentation & Reporting - Ensure thorough documentation of findings, corrective and preventive actions, maintaining detailed records that support critical evaluation.
  • Effective Communication Skills - Prepare and present reports that clearly communicate the results of action plan assessments. Discusses and reports policy deviations seen during quality reviews to provide recommendation of corrective measures to all concerned units.
  • Client Relationship Management - Ensures that all QA requests and queries from other units/departments are attended and fulfilled immediately and accurately within agreed SLA to promote best customer experience.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in Management, Finance, Economics, Engineering or any related course
  • At least 1-4 years of experience preferably in Banking and Finance, Credit Management, Documentation Review, Collateral Release and Insurance Management, Customer Care, Quality Assurance
  • Knowledge of credit policies and procedures, and risk management.
  • Equipped with effective written and oral communication.
  • Able to communicate effectively with internal customers (stakeholders).
  • Analytical, proactive, and detail oriented.
