Responsibilities:
- Coordinate onsite activities to meet project planning, quality goals, and safe execution.
- Ensure subcontractors/vendors follow project specs, classification rules, regulations, and industry best practices.
- Maintain close communication with owner reps and class surveyors to resolve technical issues during construction.
- Monitor subcontractor/supplier performance take corrective actions for quality/safety issues (retraining, fines, dismissal).
- Develop production planning to ensure correct construction sequencing and minimize rework.
- Coordinate all onsite activities to achieve project milestones without compromising quality or safety.
- Ensure strict adherence to project specs, Class rules, regulations, and best practices by all subcontractors/vendors.
- Proactively communicate with Owner Reps and Class Surveyors to identify and resolve technical challenges.
- Evaluate subcontractor/supplier performance implement corrective actions (retraining, penalties, dismissal) for breaches.
- Formulate detailed production schedules to optimize resources and reduce rework.
Requirements:
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering or similar.
- Relevant experience with strong technical background.
- At least 5 years of experience as a Construction Manager.
- Knowledge of newbuilding projects.
- Proficient in MS Office.
