Cooper's Coffee Haus is a specialty coffee shop that aims to make your 9-to-5 worthwhile with great coffee, cravings, and conversation.

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Senior Barista Trainor at Cooper's Coffee Haus, specifically covering the South area-- Muntinlupa, Makati, and BGC. A total of of 5 stores. The role involves day-to-day tasks such as:

  • Train and evaluate new hires in all your assigned branches
  • Conduct beverage sampling and inspection routines (flavor, appearance, and safety of beverages across all production batches)
  • Overseeing the testing process, analyzing product quality, and identifying any potential areas of improvement.
  • Documentation of test results and deviations.
  • Corrective actions if any batches fail the quality tests.
  • Perform random audits in retail stores to ensure that all safety protocols are being followed and that employees are complying with the store's established procedures.
  • Assess the store environment, procedures, and employee behaviors to identify potential risks or areas of non-compliance.
  • Develop and implement training programs for new hires, ensuring they understand all processes related to beverage production, quality control, and safety protocols.
  • Coordinate hands-on training, classroom instruction, and on-the-job learning opportunities.
  • Tailor training to individual learning styles, ensuring all trainees understand their roles and responsibilities.
  • Regularly assess trainee performance through observation, quizzes, and practical assignments.
  • Provide constructive feedback on trainee progress, identifying areas for improvement and offering additional support if needed.
  • Track individual progress and ensure trainees are meeting key performance indicators (KPIs) for their roles.
  • Serve as a mentor to trainees, offering advice and assistance with both technical skills and professional development.
  • Act as a point of contact for any questions or concerns trainees may have during their training period.
  • Foster a positive and supportive learning environment to boost morale and engagement.
  • Maintain detailed records of trainee performance, feedback, and progress reports.
  • Submit regular progress updates to management and human resources regarding the trainees achievements and areas of concern.
  • Ensure that all training materials are up-to-date and in line with company procedures and safety regulations.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve the training program based on trainee feedback and company needs.

Qualifications

  • Interpersonal Skills, Communication, and Customer Service skills
  • Experience as a Barista or in food and beverage preparation
  • Ability to train and mentor new baristas
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Previous experience in a leadership or supervisory role is a plus
  • Knowledge of coffee brewing techniques and specialty coffee is beneficial
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
