Barista

Job Summary

The Barista/Cashier is responsible for delivering excellent customer service while ensuring the accurate preparation and serving of beverages and efficient handling of cashiering transactions. The role requires adherence to established service, food safety, sanitation, and operational standards to ensure a high-quality customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve coffee, beverages, and other products in accordance with established recipes, quality standards, and procedures.
• Provide professional, courteous, and efficient customer service at all times.
• Accurately process customer orders and payment transactions using the designated POS system.
• Maintain proper cash handling and ensure accuracy and accountability in all cashiering transactions.
• Address customer inquiries and concerns professionally and escalate issues to the appropriate supervisor when necessary.
• Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of the workstation, equipment, and service area.
• Monitor product and operational supplies and coordinate replenishment requirements with the immediate supervisor.
• Comply with food safety, sanitation, health, and workplace safety policies and procedures.
• Assist in opening and closing procedures, including preparation and cleaning of the assigned area.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned by the immediate supervisor.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Barista, Cashier, or in a food service/customer service environment is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of coffee and beverage preparation is an advantage.
• Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrates accuracy and attention to detail, particularly in handling cash and processing transactions.
• Able to work effectively in a fast-paced, customer-oriented environment.
• Demonstrates professionalism, reliability, and a strong sense of responsibility.
• Willing to work on shifting schedules, weekends, and holidays.
