Experience: At least 2-3 years of experience in Banquet Sales, Events Management, Sales and Marketing, Hospitality Sales, or a related field.

  • Deliver a consistent and exceptional guest experience to both internal and external clients.
  • Review guest feedback from available channels and utilize service insights to improve banquet sales and event service delivery.
  • Take ownership of guest concerns and provide timely and effective service recovery within the scope of authority.
  • Promote and represent the hotel's brand image professionally at all times.
  • Maintain a positive image of the property within the community and industry.

Revenue Generation and Management

  • Conduct direct selling activities in accordance with assigned sales targets and banquet revenue goals.
  • Prepare and present Requests for Proposal (RFPs), quotations, and banquet packages to prospective clients.
  • Prospect and secure new business opportunities through:
  • Direct sales calls
  • Telephone prospecting
  • Sales blitz activities
  • Community engagements
  • Industry networking
  • Digital prospecting
  • Supplier and partner referrals
  • Qualify business opportunities from in-house and external sources.
  • Meet and entertain clients during site visits, social gatherings, and sales activities.
  • Present, promote, sell, and upsell banquet and event options to maximize revenue opportunities.

Account Management

  • Establish and maintain strong working relationships with key accounts and target clients.
  • Conduct client meetings, property tours, appointments, correspondence, and client entertainment activities.
  • Organize hotel tours and site inspections for:
  • Local clients
  • Overseas travel agents
  • Tour operators
  • Corporate accounts
  • Event organizers
  • Address guest comments, feedback, and suggestions to improve services and products.
  • Maintain positive relationships with travel agents, event coordinators, suppliers, and other business partners.

Events Management

  • Support and supervise the administrative and operational execution of events.
  • Coordinate closely with all relevant departments regarding organizer requirements and last-minute event changes.
  • Prepare and distribute event communications and documentation, including:
  • Guest Information Sheets (GIS)
  • Banquet Event Orders (BEO)
  • Event Briefs
  • Operational Updates
  • Attend pre-event and post-event meetings as required.
  • Recommend and coordinate with suppliers and contractors for event requirements.
  • Participate in sales activities, client functions, roadshows, and promotional events as required.
  • Be available to work extended hours when necessary to achieve departmental goals and ensure successful event execution.

Strategic Planning

  • Assist the Events Sales Manager in conducting market surveys, market intelligence gathering, and SWOT analyses.
  • Monitor competitor activities, promotions, and industry trends.
  • Identify major revenue-generating opportunities, including:
  • New businesses entering the market
  • Industry developments
  • Corporate expansions
  • Government projects
  • Special events
  • Assist in developing weekly forecasts and analyzing business trends and occupancy fluctuations.
  • Recommend appropriate sales strategies to support revenue and market share objectives.
