Role Purpose/ Objective:Contributes to the bank's balance sheet management by ensuring daily liquidity and funding requirements are met while maintaining regulatory compliance. Collaborates with the Financial Markets and Investment Management Head to execute liquidity and investment strategies aligned with the bank's financial objectives.
Control Accountabilities:
- Responsible for compliance to statutory reserve levels and internal ratio requirements
- Responsible for liquidity management activities ensuring compliance regulatory ratios, Bank Sentral Philippines (BSP) reserve requirement ratio and other regulatory levels/ ratios in coordination with Financial Management Department/ Risk Management Division
- Efficiently implement and manage the liquidity of the bank
- Implement the investment of Government bond/ securities in line with the guidance of Bank of China (Hong Kong)
- Manage the position and liquidity of different currencies with Nostro accounts and Vostro accounts on a daily basis
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Act as maker/checker of Clearing Bank Entity or Participating Bank Entity for intraday liquidity management including Nostro monitoring and management
- Act as maker/checker and back up for managing BSP Demand Deposit Account
- Responsible for dealing within the authorization granted by the BOCHK and trading mandate granted by BOCHK and the Financial Markets Department Head
- Monitoring and ensuring compliance to FCDU net due to limit
- Conducting contingency Funding Plans Tests based on the test script by Financial Management Department and liquidity stress tests based on the requirements by Risk Management Division
- Coordination with relevant departments/unit related to the performance of liquidity investment management activities
- Provision of required documents and data related to BSP/ External/ Internal Audit
Job Specification:
- University degree in Finance, Business, or Economics
- Certified Treasury Professional
- Certified Fixed Income Salesman, preferred
- at least 2-5 years of experience in treasury, balance sheet management, financial markets, or risk and regulatory management
