What youll do:
- Take full responsibility for designing, developing, and maintaining backend services that support customer-facing platforms using Azure Functions within cloud-native and serverless environments.
- Implement complex workflows such as user management, notification orchestration, and seamless integrations with enterprise systems like Microsoft Dynamics and Microsoft Fabric.
- Develop reusable and responsive React/Next.js UI components with a strong emphasis on performance optimisation, accessibility compliance, and usability enhancements.
- Integrate backend services with frontend applications through robust APIs and modern personalisation tools such as Uniform.dev to deliver tailored user experiences.
- Ensure system reliability by proactively monitoring performance metrics, enhancing observability features, and implementing effective error handling strategies across all layers.
- Collaborate closely with UX/UI designers, solution architects, and other cross-functional teams to deliver intuitive digital journeys that delight customers at every touchpoint.
- Optimise frontend performance by leveraging caching mechanisms, advanced rendering strategies, and Vercel platform features including Incremental Static Regeneration (ISR) and Edge Middleware.
- Contribute actively to agile processes by participating in sprint planning sessions, refining backlogs collaboratively with peers, and conducting thorough code reviews to uphold high standards.
- Champion security best practices throughout the software development lifecycle to ensure data protection and regulatory compliance across all digital solutions.
What you bring:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related discipline demonstrating foundational knowledge in software development principles.
- Proven experience working across both backend and frontend domains within cloud-native architecturesideally involving Azure Functions or similar serverless technologies.
- Advanced proficiency in backend technologies including RESTful API design patterns, OAuth2 authentication protocols, Azure Service Bus integration, SendGrid email services, Blob Storage management, and C# programming language.
- Hands-on expertise developing modern frontend applications using React.js or Next.js frameworks combined with TypeScript scripting language and Tailwind/SCSS styling methodologies.
- Demonstrated ability to implement event-driven architectures as well as composable system designs that facilitate modularity and scalability.
- Comprehensive understanding of accessibility standards such as WCAG guidelines alongside SEO best practices for maximising reach and inclusivity.
- Familiarity with headless content management systems (CMS) like Uniform.dev or Sitecore plus experience integrating personalisation platforms into digital products.
- Strong commitment to building secure solutions that prioritise data integrity while remaining scalable and easy to maintain over time.
