Your Role
As a
Backend & Integration Engineer, you will:
- Build and manage a Supabase/PostgreSQL backend infrastructure for internal company systems.
- Design and maintain database schemas, relationships, indexes, migrations, and seed data.
- Develop secure REST APIs and backend services using Node.js, Deno, JavaScript, or TypeScript.
- Integrate Base44 applications and other internal platforms with RAM Core through API connections.
- Implement authentication, role-based access controls, permissions, and secure backend practices.
- Support integrations with custom applications, automation platforms, reporting tools, CRMs, and marketing systems.
- Manage staging and production environments while ensuring system reliability and scalability.
- Create and maintain technical documentation for APIs, database structures, and system integrations.
- Monitor and improve backend architecture to support long-term business growth and maintainability.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders and internal app builders to translate operational requirements into technical solutions.
What You Need
Non-negotiables
- Strong experience with PostgreSQL and relational database design.
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript and/or TypeScript.
- Proven experience building and maintaining REST APIs.
- Hands-on backend development experience using Node.js, Deno, or similar technologies.
- Experience implementing API authentication, secrets management, and secure backend practices.
- Strong knowledge of Git and version control systems.
- Ability to create clean and comprehensive technical documentation.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of technical initiatives.
- Experience designing scalable and maintainable backend architectures.
Preferred Skills/expertise
- Experience with Supabase and Supabase Edge Functions.
- Knowledge of Firebase or other Backend-as-a-Service (BaaS) platforms.
- Experience implementing Row Level Security (RLS).
- Familiarity with Base44 or willingness to learn Base44 integrations.
- Experience integrating no-code or low-code platforms with external APIs.
- Knowledge of automation tools such as n8n, Zapier, or Make.
- Experience working with AI APIs and AI-powered workflows.
- Exposure to data pipelines, reporting systems, and analytics platforms.
- Experience with CRM, marketing, advertising, or customer data integrations.
- Knowledge of React, Next.js, DevOps practices, and cloud deployment environments.
