Job Requirements

Role Summary

Design, develop, and deliver scalable cloud-native applications and reusable platform capabilities. The engineer will work independently, contribute to technical initiatives, and collaborate with architects, product owners, frontend engineers, and cross-functional teams to build secure, highly available, resilient services.

Essential Responsibilities

• Design and develop cloud-native services using Java 17+ and Spring Boot.
• Build, deploy, and maintain microservices on Docker and Kubernetes, primarily AWS/EKS environments.
• Design REST APIs, event-driven services, asynchronous communication, and low-latency signaling or session capabilities.
• Own technical design discussions and contribute to architecture reviews, platform standards, and technology roadmaps.
• Implement secure, scalable, resilient, observable, and highly available solutions using AWS cloud services.
• Champion automated testing, code reviews, CI/CD, observability, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
• Work with PostgreSQL, MySQL or Aurora, Redis/Valkey, and other appropriate relational or NoSQL technologies.
• Mentor engineers and participate in Agile planning, estimation, execution, and delivery.
  
  

Work Experience

Must-have Skills & Experience:

• 7-10 years of software development experience with strong Java and Spring Boot expertise.
• Experience designing enterprise-grade microservices and distributed systems.
• Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services, Docker, Kubernetes/EKS, cloud security, IAM, networking, and monitoring.
• Experience with REST APIs, event-driven services, Kafka, SQS/SNS, or equivalent messaging technologies.
• Experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL/Aurora, Redis/Valkey, and database/cache integration.
• CI/CD experience using Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or equivalent tools.
• Automated testing and quality experience using JUnit, Mockito, Cucumber, SonarQube, or comparable tools.
• Observability experience using CloudWatch, Grafana, Prometheus, OpenTelemetry, or comparable platforms.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Multi-tenant SaaS, highly scalable distributed systems, AWS Well-Architected Framework, and platform engineering.
• Kubernetes operators, service mesh technologies such as Istio or Linkerd, and infrastructure automation.
• Real-time signaling, high-concurrency session services, GenAI/LLM integrations, or AI-powered applications.
• Healthcare, medical-device, regulated-software, FHIR, or HL7 experience.
