Job Description

The Part-time Junior BA/QA Analyst role is designed specifically for current students, fresh graduates, and career shifters. This role offers a foundational career stepping stone, reporting a manageable minimum of 20 hours per week.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Requirements & Documentation: Learn to translate business requirements into functional specifications and practice creating visual aids, like flowcharts, to document complex processes.
  • Data Collection & Analysis: Gain experience in collecting and analyzing operational data to spot trends, patterns, and areas for improvement.
  • Project Support: Work closely with our engineering team to support project planning and ensure outcomes align with business goals.
  • Test Case Development & Execution: Get hands-on practice creating and executing comprehensive test cases based on real project specifications.
  • Defect Reporting: Learn how to properly identify, document, and track software bugs through to resolution.
  • Automation & Data Management: Under the guidance of senior staff, learn the basics of creating automated test scripts and managing test data sets.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Build your professional communication skills by acting as a liaison between developers, project managers, and external stakeholders.
  • Continuous Growth: Dedicate time to proactively learning basic programming concepts, testing frameworks, and business analysis standards (e.g., BBST and IIBA) with the support of our team.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Educational Background: Currently pursuing or recently graduated with a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Analytical Thinking: Strong problem-solving skills, a natural curiosity, and the ability to connect the dots in data.
  • Technical Documentation: Ability to write clearly and concisely; familiarity with creating basic flowcharts or diagrams from your university coursework is a big plus!
  • Communication: Enthusiastic and professional interpersonal skills to collaborate comfortably with diverse teams, including engineers and clients.
  • Detail Oriented: A keen eye for detail and a commitment to accuracy, demonstrated through your academic projects or extracurricular activities.
  • Eagerness to Learn: A baseline understanding of software concepts from your studies and a highly proactive willingness to learn testing methodologies and business analysis on the job.
