Job Description

We are seeking an experienced B2B Lead Generation Specialist with proven hands-on expertise using Clay to build and manage top-of-funnel lead generation systems. This role is responsible for identifying target markets, building highly qualified prospect lists, enriching data, and supporting outbound campaigns that generate meetings and sales pipeline.

This is not a data entry position. The ideal candidate has actively built workflows inside Clay, understands outbound prospecting strategies, and can create scalable systems that directly contribute to revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities

Clay Workflow Development & Data Enrichment

  • Build, manage, and optimize advanced lead generation workflows within Clay.
  • Create end-to-end prospecting systems, including sourcing, enrichment, qualification, and segmentation.
  • Research and identify target markets, including independent schools, charter schools, public school districts, school associations, and related education-sector buyers.
  • Enrich prospect data with accurate contact information, including email addresses, LinkedIn profiles, company details, and organizational insights.
  • Identify and target key decision-makers, including:
    • Heads of School
    • Superintendents
    • Directors of Operations
    • Directors of Safety and Security
    • Facilities Directors
    • Business Managers
    • Principals
  • Develop lead scoring methodologies to prioritize prospects based on fit and conversion potential.
  • Continuously identify new lead opportunities and expand target account lists.
Lead Generation & Outbound Support

  • Own the creation, maintenance, and quality control of outbound prospect lists.
  • Support cold email and outbound campaigns through accurate list building, segmentation, and data validation.
  • Partner closely with leadership to refine ideal customer profiles, targeting strategies, and messaging.
  • Monitor campaign performance metrics, including:
    • Reply rates
    • Meeting booking rates
    • Conversion rates
    • Lead quality
  • Continuously optimize lead generation processes based on campaign results and feedback.
Systems & Process Management

  • Integrate and manage workflows between Clay and outbound platforms such as Instantly.ai, HubSpot, and similar tools.
  • Maintain organized, scalable, and accurate prospect databases.
  • Implement automation, filtering logic, and process improvements to increase efficiency and data quality.
  • Ensure compliance with outbound marketing best practices and data hygiene standards.

Qualifications

  • Proven hands-on experience using Clay for B2B lead generation and data enrichment.
  • Demonstrated experience building complete Clay workflows from prospect sourcing through outbound readiness.
  • Strong background in top-of-funnel lead generation, prospecting, and list building.
  • Experience supporting outbound sales and cold email campaigns.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Understanding of email deliverability, inbox health, sender reputation, and email warm-up best practices.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities, campaigns, and target markets.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Comfortable working independently within a fast-paced remote environment.
  • Experience with Instantly.ai, HubSpot, Apollo, Smartlead, or similar outbound platforms.
  • Knowledge of cold email strategy and outbound sales best practices.
  • Experience targeting U.S.-based businesses, educational institutions, or public-sector organizations.
  • Background in Marketing Operations (Marketing Ops), Revenue Operations (RevOps), Sales Operations, or Growth Marketing.
  • Experience working directly with founders, sales leadership, or executive teams.
