OverviewThe Integration Team sits within the Common Platforms group alongside Platform Engineering, Data, and RPA. We provide the integration foundations that enable McMillan Shakespeareu0027s strategic transformation across its IT and Digital landscape.This role is an opportunity for the right candidate to influence integration best practices, contribute to a modern API-led and asynchronous integration approach, and help build and operate MMSu0027s next generation of integration capabilities.The successful candidate will have experience delivering and supporting integration solutions in a complex .NET and Azure-based corporate environment. They will be comfortable working across modern cloud services and legacy technologies, engaging with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, and participating in both delivery and production support.Technical Skills
Mandatory- Azure API Management (APIM)
- Azure Functions
- Azure App Services
- Azure Service Bus (asynchronous messaging)
- Experience designing and building REST APIs
- Familiarity with modern code design patterns, including Clean Architecture
- CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and close collaboration with Platform Engineering
- Cloud reliability and SRE concepts (observability, distributed tracing, resilience patterns)

- Exposure to Azure Logic Apps
- Automated testing of back-end systems, including unit testing and integration testing

Legacy & Hybrid Integration
Mandatory- NET Framework and WCF where required

- Familiarity with SOAP and legacy Enterprise Application Integration concepts
Experience
Mandatory- Strong verbal and written English communication skills
- 5+ years delivering integration solutions in a medium-to-large enterprise
- Strong experience with Azure-based API and messaging integrations
- Strong understanding of REST API design and related standards
- Hands-on experience with asynchronous integration patterns using Azure Service Bus
- Experience troubleshooting distributed systems and working with support/operations teams
- Ability to collaborate effectively with architects, platform engineers, testers, business analysts, and business stakeholders
- Comfortable contributing to both project delivery and production support activities
- Ability to communicate requirements and implementation details with integrating parties
- Experience working in an Agile development team
- Experience working with BAs and product owners to ensure that user stories and bugs are sufficiently detailed and in the required format to enable work to commence
- Knowledge and experience of working in a Scrum team
Preferred- Event driven and microservice application design
- Technical advocacy and leadership
- Experience in a consulting or Shared Services environment
- Being able to work with a product owner, guiding them in managing and ordering a backlog where necessary
- Knowledge and experience of working in a Kanban team
Industry Experience
Mandatory- Extensive experience in back-end system design and development
Preferred
- The successful candidate will have gained most of their experience working in Financial Services or Fintech companies.
Qualifications and Certifications
Mandatory- Bacheloru0027s degree in computer science, software engineering or a related field
Preferred - Microsoft certifications (development and cloud infrastructure)
