The Qualifications We Seek
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in data engineering, data platform development, and enterprise-scale pipeline design
- Strong hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, Microsoft Fabric, and Azure Data Lake Storage
- Proven experience designing modern data platforms using Medallion Architecture, Lakehouse methodologies, and scalable data architecture principles
- Advanced experience in ETL/ELT development, pipeline orchestration, automation, data integration, and data quality management
- Strong Microsoft Fabric experience, including Lakehouse, Data Warehouse, Data Pipelines, OneLake, and end-to-end analytics solutions
- Experience building and optimizing Azure Synapse environments, including SQL pools, Spark pools, and enterprise data warehouse architectures
- Advanced SQL skills, with experience in query optimization, performance tuning, data modeling, and large-scale data processing
- Experience with Spark, PySpark, and Python for data engineering and transformation workloads
- Experience implementing CI/CD, monitoring, governance, security, and performance optimization for data platforms and pipelines
- Experience supporting AI/ML data pipelines, DataOps, MLOps, Power BI semantic models, and analytics integration is highly desirable

Your Daily Tasks
Data Pipeline Development
- Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines using Microsoft Azure Data Factory and Microsoft Fabric Data Pipelines, developing ETL/ELT processes across APIs, databases, and external sources
- Implement automated orchestration workflows that support enterprise analytics and AI workloads
Data Platform Engineering
- Develop and manage enterprise data platforms using Microsoft Azure Synapse Analytics, Microsoft Fabric Lakehouse, and Data Warehouse solutions
- Design efficient data models, structures, and lakehouse architectures optimized for reporting, analytics, and AI applications
Data Integration & Operations
- Build transformation processes using Synapse SQL, Spark, and Fabric Notebooks, integrating structured and unstructured enterprise data for batch and near-real-time processing
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize pipelines, compute workloads, and storage performance, while implementing logging, monitoring, and alerting to ensure platform reliability and uptime
Data Governance & Collaboration
- Implement data governance practices including lineage, access controls, data quality validation, and security compliance, partnering with data stewards to maintain trusted datasets
- Collaborate with Data Analysts, Data Scientists, and AI Engineers to deliver clean, reliable datasets that support scalable analytics, AI development, and enterprise data strategy
Performance & Continuous Improvement
- Drive knowledge transfer, strengthen internal ownership, reduce MSP dependency, improve platform performance, maintain documentation completeness, and ensure high pipeline reliability
- Perform other duties as assigned
