Job Description
As a Medical Billing Specialist, you will be focusing on optimizing billing, claims, and payment processes for home care agencies using the client's software.
Requirements
- 1 – 3 years of experience in medical billing, preferably with Medicare, Medicaid, and HMOs.
- Proficiency in EHR/EMR platforms and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical abilities.
- Attention to detail, ability to work independently, and strong organizational skills.
Preference
- A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or Healthcare Management is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Manage weekly Medicaid claim submissions to required portals.
- Resolve rejected or denied claims and conduct follow-ups.
- Analyze cash postings, reconcile credit balances, and manage aging reports.
- Utilize software to automate and streamline billing and payroll tasks.
- Act as a liaison between the agency and payers and ensure compliance with regulations.
